Feelings

Unexpressed emotion will never die

Unexpressed emotion will never die

You have to feel your feelings in order to let them go. This does not mean you have to run your mouth or tell the world. It can be a private matter between you and God. ~ Anne Lewellen

Always be yourself and say what you have to say. People who know & love you for being you will understand & tolerate your logic. Being direct does not mean you have to be rude nor ugly. Everybody has a right to have their say, regardless. Stay “you” and be “you” because “you” matter too. ~ Jo Ingram-Peters

For so long I turned anger in on my self – denying that I was really angry with someone or something else I think I turned it on myself because it was more acceptable than turning it outward. It was stunning to realize how much anger I had with others that I never admitted or expressed. Many times extremes don’t offer a very good solution. Love, understanding, compassion and forgiveness (for ourselves and others) is where the answer lies. Our answer to those unexpressed emotions is to abide in Lord. He will help us handle those difficult emotions that we don’t think we are capable of and He will lead us down the right path if we let Him. ~ Barb Saxton
