You have to deliberately change your thoughts to be positive, if a negative thought enters your mind, say to yourself…STOP! I’m only going to think positive thoughts, I’m breathing, that’s positive, I woke up this morning, I am Happy, I am Thankful for all the wonderful blessings I have been blessed with and continue to be blessed with. It may take time and it does coming from experience, and sometimes you may get set backs, but bottom line keep pumping those positive thoughts out and pushing those negative thoughts away, never give up! ~ Elizabeth Loper
“Seek and you shall find” what you seek you will find. If you look for aches and pains, there will be a lot, but if you will count your blessings, there will surely be a lot. I do not know you but I can count a few of your blessings like 1- you have access to the internet therefor you were blessed with the intelligence, the gadget and the internet; 2 you were able to type- at least one or both hands are still functioning, 3- you are able to read the post therefor you are blessed with sight, or if you are blind you were educated to use technology. You can feel the pain meaning you are alive and your brain still talks to you. I can go on and one but only you can really count your blessings and that can give you lots and lots of positive thoughts. God loves you! ~ Aleta Soliman
It is not about stopping thoughts, it is about thinking – to keep thinking – to realize there are positive and negative thoughts. When you have a negative thought to think further – that there are other ways, many other ways to think about a particular issue. One person can have a multitude of ways that they can think about one particular issue and another person can have another multitude of ways to think about that issue. Looking at it from the past, from the present, from the future, from anther persons point of view, from the environments point of view, etc. then comes the real power – it is your right to choose the one that you think will give the best story, the best outcome. The power of the mind is not in not allowing yourself to have negative thoughts. In fact it is good to have negative thoughts – but to not stop thinking at that thought – to keep on thinking and asking and using your imagination. Your mind is a powerful thing, when you fill it with power to imagine, to reason and remember, and that you can have many thoughts about even one event. Life can be very hard and sometimes there are people who will make it harder. The trick is to know they haven’t learnt yet, be positive within yourself no matter what or who is doing wrong or what is going wrong. Think to yourself – you are strong you know how to be a good person. Choose to be good to be kind and that person or thing that is causing your life to be difficult, then all you do is pull back a little but keep your head high and stay true to yourself. I have been through so much for so many many years, cancer abuse death financial oblivion everything you can think of, but I will not let them change who I am, who my soul is. Spread your wings and Soar Smile and find just one thing that is good one thing anywhere and see real life. The earth, the birds, the animals, the breeze, the sky! That is life! That is our blessing. YOU CAN DO IT! I believe in you, you have made the choice to ask how to think positive, so you are seeking and you now have help and love being sent from strangers to you. If you believe in God, thinking positive is easy and help yourself to make positive thoughts. Just be yourself!
If you try to change your way of thinking, your life will eventually start to get better. Try to at least give it a try!
