When to stop doing things for someone

When it comes to our aging parents and grandparents, (even if they seem to expect it without gratitude) we feel obligated. Personally, I helped out, (sometimes begrudgingly as I was younger when it began) but now as I got older and understood the process of it all, the compassion set in and whether they appreciated it or not, I know in my heart, I did the right thing by helping out. I feel not so appreciated when I do things for people and they don’t even acknowledge what you have given them. I think its worse with teenager, they expect but after not even a text to thank you. ~ Liza Engelke
